Amy Soukup is a career educator at Meads Mill Middle School in Northville Public Schools, where she has spent 30 years cultivating a classroom environment built on empathy and growth. As a founding member of the be nice. team and a previous presenter at the Mental Health Coalition, Amy has been a long-standing advocate for integrating mental health awareness into the daily school experience.Driven by the firm belief that a student's emotional well-being is the essential foundation for academic success, her work focuses on strengthening Tier 1 universal climate by elevating student voice and supporting the whole child. When she isn't in the classroom, she can be found adventuring with her family—including her own middle schooler and third grader—experimenting in the kitchen, and finding the joy in life.
