About me
Janine Owen is a Mathematics Consultant for Wayne Regional Educational
Service Agency, with 19 years of experience in education. She has taught grades
kindergarten through fifth grade, provided math recovery intervention as a certified Math
Recovery Specialist, and collaborated with teachers as an Instructional Coach. Janine
is passionate about building students’ positive identities as mathematicians as they
engage in making sense of rich and rigorous mathematics tasks and increasing
educators’ capacity to develop dynamic mathematics learning communities.
