Natalie R. Turner, Ed.S, is a highly passionate educator and administrator with over 25 years experience in education teaching elementary, middle school ELA/Math, as a reading specialist, middle/high school building administrator and as a Director of Achievement prior to heading to the county level. Most recently, she serves as an Educational Improvement Consultant at Wayne Regional Service Agency, servicing all local districts and public school academies within Wayne County.
She possesses extensive experience in urban settings leading, designing, developing, and implementing educational programming conducive to student success and achievement. In her role as a high school principal for 4 years, she collaborated with her team to increase state testing scores and lead the county outperforming both comprehensive high schools and public school academies with similar demographics and often many suburban districts as well (article reference).
As a facilitator and consultant for continuous improvement, as well as her work as a Master Trainer for the Michigan ACE Initiative and CSTAG (Comprehensive School Threat Assessment) trainer, she constantly seeks ways to connect how trauma and social emotional learning impact student success, and how ample attention and support in these areas are crucial to that success.
