About me
Jamie Eathorne is a School Health Consultant with the Wayne RESA Safe and Healthy Schools team. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development and Social Relations from Kalamazoo College and earned her Master of Public Health from Oakland University, where she also worked as a graduate research assistant. Prior to joining Wayne RESA, Jamie served as the Health Educator for the Monroe County Health Department, leading school health education programming in addition to providing community education on topics including car seat safety, CPR, diabetes, HIV, maternal infant health, nutrition, and sexual health. Her particular areas of interest as School Health Consultant include HIV and sex education laws and best practices, the Michigan Model for Health™ comprehensive health curriculum, and supporting the Whole Child. As a Certified Health Education Specialist, she is passionate about promoting health and well-being for all and strives to be an advocate, resource, and cheerleader for health education and promotion.
